Why you don't like changes to your design
Reaction by Jordan Guy
I have always been pleased by what this website does. It gives a really funny and at the same time a real look at how things work or how things do not work. I connected to this specific piece because I could directly relate to the work process. If I find something I care about, I try my hardest. The inverse is also true. I am never satisfied with what I have because I know I could always do better. That is why I think I would make a good designer of software. I want to push the envelope further than it has ever gone.

F.T.C. Backs Plan to Honor Privacy of Online Users

Reaction by Jordan Guy

I like the idea of a “do not track” button. I definitely agree that the level of tracking that is occurring now is a invasion of privacy. My privacy is private. I do not want some strange company giving me a number and a profile to sell to the highest bider. I think there is a new form of targeting out there but this is not the right way. This is a step to far. I really hope Congress goes threw with it but the power of those corporations may be a problem. This corporation could see this as a direct attack upon them and they would not be wrong. I sincerely hope the power of corporations fail on this topic.

Google tweaks algorithm to punish bad businesses

Reaction by Jordan Guy

This article was disgusting. This man is a bad person. The fact that he used how mean he was to his advantage for more business was just stupid. I don’t understand why he did not just look at the criticism and then improve so that the criticism went away? Most people think like that. That is such a dishonest and disgusting thing to do. I am very glad that Google realized this and is trying to change it. I hope no one ever abuses the system in such a way as that but I know that is a naive thought.

WikiLeaks Struggles to Stay Online After Attacks

Reaction by Jordan Guy

This article was scary. It is mind blowing to think that one person attacked such a large organization and actually made head way. To think that one person can reveal secret information to the rest of the world further increases how scary this situation is. It also blew me away that Amazon flat up refused to help. That is just ridiculous. I hope that Wiki gets everything under control soon before anything to scary actually happens. I still do not understand why anyone would go out of their way to do such things.

Why WikiLeaks’ latest document dump makes everyone in journalism — and the public — a winner

Reaction by Jordan Guy

I really don’t think it matter which group is more important. All that should matter is the distribution of the media and what the people need to see. The method of distribution should not matter. Important information will always be transmitted in several forms but one form will not eclipse the other. New forms of media will always exist and challenge the old forms but neither ever win.

Can You Draw the Internet?

Reaction by Jordan Guy

I like this web site. Its a way for anyone to freely express themselves in regard to how they see the internet. The concept within itself is very intriguing. The internet is concept and to make physical a concept is such a great endanger. People have been doing it for years to every concept imaginable. I think that Love is probably the most popular concept. People try to give love a physical form that they can touch and feel but its not possible. But some people have come close. The difficultly lies with in our tools for expression I think to properly express such concepts, we would need a new way to express ourselves.

Apple’s IPad a Great Example of Divergent Thinking

Reaction by Jordan Guy

Divergent products move us forward. New ideas change everything because they are new. Anything that looks in the world in a different light allows for change. One idea can influence the creation of a new idea and so on and so on. Until the entire system we live in has changed. I definitely see what this article is talking about though. The iPad and the computer tablets are not the same. Who ever says they are is wrong. Their interfaces and what they do are too far different. I hope as time progresses more and more products begin to “reinvent the wheel”.
