The Many Faces of You

By CLAIRE CAIN MILLER

My response

I found it very interesting that Facebook was compared to Thanksgiving dinner. But in a way it makes sense. It is definitively true when those relatives get together stressful events occur. That behavior is normal. A person would definitely speak to their mother very differently then their significant other. That fact in itself is just common sense. One of the things about Facebook is that everyones parents can see what their children are doing. Which often is not a good thing. But is that an invasion of privacy? The parents are allowed to make their own accounts so is it the child’s fault for allowing their parents to see what occurs? In a way people are adapting their Facebook habits to factor in who might be watching but some people are not. Those people are still posting very compromising photos that could put their future in danger. Facebook is definitely a mixed bag of good and bad depending on how it is used.
