“The mass market was a hack”: Data and the future of journalism

I’m glad that some people are realizing that they need to change in order to keep up with todays culture. The internet itself was such a game changer for so many mediums that several industry have yet to compensate for the new technologies. Newspapers and journalists in general need to find a way that allows innovation to occur with in their field. They need to find a way that keeps their information valid instead of just outdated. They need to find a way to be ahead of the curb but I think that that will require a major shift in how their medium is regarded. They would need to do something out of the ordinary so that they can carry on.
